Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Dynamic Edge Consulting?
A: What I like most about our business is the autonomy we give our team. Traditional leadership styles have gone out the door when it comes to how we operate. We’re all about empowerment, trust, delegation, and learning through experience and “failures.”
Our perspective on “failure” is different. It’s simply learning opportunities.
Where most companies will give a task to the “most experienced” or “qualified” person who has done it over and over again, we will find the person who will probably not match the results of someone else, but their personal growth takes priority over just “getting it done.”
The team is a collective of self-managed individuals, and the executives in the company embrace their creativity, ability to think, decision-making, and simply provide coaching and guidance versus micromanagement.
I needed this to thrive personally. I need to be able to make decisions and allow my leadership abilities to shine, otherwise I would have been bored and felt like I was not living up to my true abilities and potential.
In summary, my favorite part of the company: you can’t hide from the best version of you. The version that can only show up when the situation calls for it.
It’s a double edged sword.
For some people, this is perfect and they chase personal and professional growth through the created opportunities.
Others, on the other hand, want the set tasks because it reduces the chances of “failure” in the workplace.
Not for me – I say challenge me daily, increase my skill set, let me take on new opportunities all the time.
We develop people into leaders, and the best versions of themselves. That’s what I love.
